“Having worked for a growing aerospace manufacturer, I was fortunate to experience the unbelievable challenges of unprecedented growth linked to new engine programs. We planned and prepared extensively, developing new technologies and processes to incorporate in a new plant, while acutely being aware that one of the greatest obstacles to overcome would be linked to talent development and acquisition. Green field events can prepare you to deliver long-term competitive advantages through significant planning and execution, but without talented resources to contribute to the success, it is difficult to be ready for lift-off.
I joined the Manufacturing Pathways Consortium because I saw a shared vision between manufacturers, educators, and business partners with the common goal of developing a pipeline of skilled talent. Connecting while developing opportunities between the Manufacturing Pathways Consortium members, the students and professionals empower us to create sustainable career paths for the greater good of the McHenry County community."
