“I work in manufacturing because it allows me to help others by contributing to products that people rely on every day. Whether it's building essential equipment or creating parts for everyday goods, I know my work has a real impact. Manufacturing also offers great opportunities for growth, learning new skills, and advancing in my career. It's a hands-on industry that constantly evolves, and being part of that progress is both rewarding and exciting.

I ended up working in manufacturing after starting my career as a staffing specialist, where I supported multiple manufacturers. After gaining experience in that role, I began considering a move into human resources. I reached out to a friend, and she mentioned that her company, TC Industries, Inc., might be hiring soon. Not long after that, she contacted me to schedule an interview. I'm very thankful for the opportunity I was given—almost five years later, I'm still here at TC Industries, Inc., and proud to be part of the team.

I was given the opportunity to become an HR Coordinator at TC Industries, and it has been a great step in my career. Being part of the HR team has allowed me to grow professionally while also making a meaningful impact within the company. One of the most rewarding aspects of the role is being able to utilize my bilingual skills to better support our diverse workforce and help bridge communication across teams.

Becoming a member of the Manufacturing Consortium has been a great experience. One of the most rewarding parts has been helping with the rotational internship program for high school students. Giving them the opportunity to explore various trades can truly open a world of possibilities. Not every student wants to go to college and spend four or more years in school after graduation. For many, going into the trades is a better fit—and what better way to explore those options than through the Manufacturing Pathways Consortium."
